Lead QA Engineer
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead QA Engineer to lead the quality assurance team and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and enforcing QA standards, mentoring team members, and coordinating testing efforts across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor QA engineers to build a high-performing QA team
- Design, implement, and maintain test strategies, plans, and cases
- Oversee manual and automated testing across all stages of the software development lifecycle
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to
ensure quality at every phase - Manage and maintain test environments and test data
- Identify, track, and report bugs and quality issues
- Drive test automation efforts and CI/CD integration
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices
- Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies
- Perform root cause analysis of issues and recommend product improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in software testing and QA, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or senior role
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Proficiency in bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- ISTQB or other QA certification
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience with performance, security, and API testing tools (e.g., JMeter,
Postman) - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
